About U.S. Legacies

Preserving memories, lifestyles and family traditions from the past.

U.S. Legacies was founded in 1997 and our goal is to collect and publish stories and memories that will help preserve the historical memories, lifestyles, and family traditions of the past. Some of these stories and articles come from people that have personally witnessed 80 to 100 years of changing times, traditions and lifestyles.

Memories are not a motion picture. They are individual snapshots of something you saw, heard, felt, tasted or smelled. So, what do you remember about the lifestyles, music, clothing, transportation and romance during your younger years?

Do you remember any stories your grandparents or great-grandparents shared with you? Do you have any favorite Christmas memories?

If you have any stories you would like to share from your past, that future descendants or others might be interested in reading about and learning from, we encourage you to share them with us. After all, one of the many lessons some of us have learned over the years is that just because we can remember something today, there is no guarantee that memory will still exist next year.

All material posted on our websites are protected by U.S. Copyrights belonging to the individuals communicating and sharing the stories with American Legacies and/or U.S. Legacies. This usually means the person or family writing the story and submitting it to American Legacies or U.S. Legacies, retains the copyright, however in the case of professional Freelance Writers, they MAY have written agreements with the family or person they are writing about.

U.S. Legacies is a division of American Legacies LLC.
This website is currently under development, so for additional stories, please check out our sister site at:  American Legacies Org
